Covid, Supply Chain Delays, Staffing Issues – and NOW Inflation

If it seems like life is throwing a lot at us right now – well, that’s because it is.

First, we had a lack of materials.  Next, we couldn’t find staffing resources, and now everything is more expensive.

What’s next?  The good thing is that history has shown us that this, too, will pass.

“The first thing you need to do when you find yourself in a hole is to stop digging!” – Will Rogers

Once we get past the emotions of feeling like we have to fight a new battle every day, we can start to focus on how to end the challenges and get back on top of things.  We may even be able to leverage our “new normal” more competitively.

It’s not that the emotional stage isn’t normal – it is.  We just can’t dwell there!

Dealing with challenges – especially those beyond our control – is never easy, and every situation has a slightly different path.  But the common component is working out from our problems – first with recognition and acceptance, then focusing our energy on moving forward.

I always tried to turn every disaster into an opportunity.  John D. Rockefeller
